Just finished reading Nick Sagan’s Edenborn. And already regret the fact the I’ve left Everfree at Aveiro… I would finish the trilogy this weekend for sure!

Redmine update + Coeus

Redmine update status: running 0.8.7 @ bioserver.ieeta.pt:8000 The problem is in the ruby service (loops between on and off). I don’t know if it’s a versioning problem or a mongrel one… I’ll wait for the next redmine release and try to fix it. Coeus will be the name of the semantic concept management platform I’ll be developing for my PhD. He was one the 12 greek titans, the god of wisdom/knowledge/intelligence. Future post in Plog will explain everything. I am also responsible for the Semantic Web section in GEN2PHEN KC, must prepare an opening post.

or the little BIG app of the day A friend just asked me for a simple photo editing app (Windows) where she could combine, divide or modify photos among other things… I started looking around and I’ve found Photoscape! A great little app that has a whole bunch of cool features for photo manipulation! If you ever need some simple photo editing to surprise your friends or even something a bit harder, give it a try! Now… let’s search something similar for the mac…
